Details: This is a gorgeous plate, similar to the Limoges plates made in France. It has the classic Victorian Courting Couple decal known as Fragonard, and inspired by the works of artist Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806). The plate has gold filigree within an iridescent band, bordered by a royal blue wide band, with embossed swirls, truly a work of art. It is stamped on the back Made in Japan, which indicates porcelain made for export. The logo, a U within a triangle may be a manufacturer mark, we were unable to identify.
